Our Team
Colorado Youth for a Change employs a staff of over 40 which includes Principals, Teachers, Educational Outreach Specialists, Educational Intervention Specialists, and Transition Specialists. CYC truly believes that education is vital for success. Therefore, 49% of our staff received a graduate degree, 44% received a bachelor degree, and 5% received an associates degree. Three staff members currently hold a principal license, seven staff members have a masters degree in education, three staff members are certified school counselors, and four staff members have a masters degree in social work. Our teaching staff on average has 14 years of teaching experience. CYC staff has a combined 332 years (or an average of 12 years per staff) of experience working with at risk students with expertise in homeless youth, gang violence, LGBTQ, mental health, and substance abuse. 7% of staff have been employed at CYC for more than three years, 44% have been at CYC between one and three years, and 49% of staff have been employed at CYC for less than a year.
